This book helped me pass the C.P.M. exam

This book helped me pass the C.P.M. exam. I was looking for a comprehensive reference, and I game across this title at amazon.com. It was not available at the time I started reviewing, March 2005. I got the book by the first week of May 2005. I took the exams in the 3rd and 4th week of June.

The book is both comprehensive and concise. I suggest you use this together (...) Although the test questions are not constructed like the ones found in C.P.M. exam, the book and the test engine helped me get the purchasing terms and definitions out of the way. I found the glossary and test engine very useful.

This book provides a great study guide for the CPM exam. The book is divided into the 4 sections of the exam which allows you to focus on the necessary material. It also includes a CD with lots of sample exam questions you can use to practice.

Very good suplement for the CPM Exam.

I think it is an excellent book for the CPM exam but shouldn't be the only source to study. It definately gives idea about the exam and covers some topics to be prepeared but if you need more in debt information, have time and funds, it is better to get ISM Workbooks also.

I have both ISM Workbook modules and this book. I studied from both. ISM Workbooks covers more topics. I personally like to study in Starbucks, and on trips. If you had seen ISM Workbooks, they are not really much mobile. You can just throw this book in your laptop bag and go over some topics on your coffee break.

Shortly, I think it is a good purchase for CPM Exam, but "may" not be enough if you really need to fill some technical gaps in CPM exam materials.

Ross Brawn is the most successful technical director in Formula One history, having led Benetton, Ferrari, Honda, Brawn and Mercedes to world championship glory, and worked with some of the greatest names in the sport, including Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton. He retired from the sport at the end of 2013. Adam Parr is a businessman, investor and lawyer whose career has taken him all over the world. Between 2006 and 2012 he was CEO and then chairman of the Williams Formula One team, where he was responsible for bringing hybrid technology to the team as well as turning round its fortunes.

First rate. Insightful. Much enjoyed the dialogue format, letting RB speak for himself. The Parr contribution was most interesting and informed and his subject lends itself well to F1. I wonder what RB's role will be in F1's future? It needs him. I was gripped. At last, that's how RB does what he does so sublimely. A book with high levels of aerodynamic and mechanical grip. A must read not just for fans but I can think of a number of managers who could glean some tips from RB's way of doing things.

As an avid motorsports fan with a very keen interest in Ross Brawn's methods, I enjoyed the compilation of anecdotes and assertions from the big man himself. I did find myself skipping over all of the Art of War-inspired analyses written by Adam Parr though. They seemed so dry and dour compared to the informative light-hearted banter that fills the rest of this book.

Should have been a free prelude to the upcoming Dark Horse comic

This book is very small--maybe four by six inches. That hurts the impact of the artwork because you are looking at such small pages. The artwork isn't bad, but it isn't really good either. Lara is a mere background character in this comic. The book is mainly about the other members of the Endurance crew and how they came to be on the expedition. I didn't care for what they did with Alex and Dr. Whitman's backstories. Not to mention there is an inconsistency between Dr. Whitman's backstory in the comic and a note written by Whitman in the game that Lara finds during her adventure. Basically, this is a nice little collectible for anyone who is a Tomb Raider fan, but the decision to release it in hardcover was not justified because it's too small and too short. It's not worth the fifteen dollar price tag Amazon is asking. It should have been released as a free prelude to the upcoming Dark Horse Tomb Raider comic, but they probably knew that people will pay the fifteen dollars because it is connected to the new Tomb Raider game. Honestly, the best thing about the book is the picture on the front cover. Just find a good high-res pic of that and save it on your computer.

I love Tomb Raider

I was first introduced to the Tomb Raider games when I was 12 (back with the first original Tomb Raider game). I remember opening up the game pamphlet and seeing Lara Croft action figurines, hats, shirts, even comic books. I wanted it all. I couldn't have it though. Being older now my best friend told me that she wanted this Comic Book in particular. I didn't even know this existed. I ordered it for her. It came wrapped in plastic wrap. I thought of ordering myself one, figured I'd order it later. So I sent it to her along with the rest of her Christmas gifts and she was so excited about it. At the same time I sent it to her, she sent me something as well. This comic book. I cracked it open and the artwork and story is phenomenal. I love everything about it actually. This is a great purchase.

Disappointing

What is the point of a comic book when its artwork is poor? They might as well have written a short novel. That would have been more enjoyable and would not have spoilt the experience of "The Beginning" for me.
There are some inconsistencies in the story as well and they have made Lara look manly in this comic book- with broad shoulders and her arms on her hips in every damn panel.
Do not waste money on this. Download it for free if you really want to read it.

About the Author
Daniel Humm began his chef's training at 14 in his homeland of Switzerland. There, he earned a Michelin Star while in his first Executive chef position at Gasthaus zum Gupf in the Swiss Alps. In 2003 he moved to the United States to work at Campton Place, where he received many awards, including a nomination for Rising Star Chef by the James Beard Foundation. He has been Executive Chef of Eleven Madison Park since 2006.
Will Guidara is a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. He began his dining room training at Spago Beverly Hills and attended culinary school in the North of Spain. Prior to joining Eleven Madison Park, he served as the director of operations of the restaurants at The Museum of Modern Art. He became general manager of Eleven Madison Park in 2006.

BEST COOKBOOK I OWN!!!

I own hundreds of books, most from the worlds greatest restaurants. The French laundry, fat duck, el bulli, modernist cuisine, the square, le Bernadin, you name it. This is my all time favorite cookbook. It's beautiful, absolutely perfect t food. Beautiful presentations, chef Daniel is the best!!!

Vibrant and elegant

I honestly bought Eleven Madison Park purely for the photography although
the quality of the dish plating and the restaurant itself are in a class of it's own and must be mentioned.

The food styling of Chef Humm is truly a work of art and combined with the superb photography especially lighting of
Farncesco Tonelli makes this cook book beautiful and well worth the price. If you like great food photography with very clean elegant food styling (by Chef Humm) then this has to be a plus in your collection.

Well worth the price - even the kindle version.

First, the bad news: the kindle version is a freakin' mess.

However, the pictures are there (not well attached to the text, but they are there). The recipes are fantastic. I wish I had bought the hardcover book, but I have way too many cookbooks already!

I will be copying recipes from the kindle to paper or my OneNote for many years to come, I am sure. The instructions for breaking down a rabbit, for example, is worth the price of the book in itself.

Chapters 18-21 were not included in the 'Answer Key' page 205 (back of the book). This would have been helpful as the material covered included Law of Sines & Cosines, Vector & Equilibrium, Conics, Parametric Equations, and Polar Coordinates. I couldn't find any help with this dilemma online with McGraw-Hill either. RFL

Limited Calculus

I thought this book would go into details about calculus but it was really limited. It only had derivatives and intregals (and the easy ones of them, it didn't expand the problems or had complicated ones). There were exampples but they only showed step by step equations without explaining anything. It was a disappointment and I still stuggled with derivatives and intregals.

giving the facts that the author has discovered in an entertaining and easy to read manner

Violence, corruption, incompetence, intimidation, cronyism, lies, cover ups and back door politics are just some of what this book uncovers in a little southwest Louisiana town. While it shines a magnifying lens on Jennings, La. be sure that this type of thing goes on in towns small and large all over the country. The book is well researched and well presented, giving the facts that the author has discovered in an entertaining and easy to read manner.

One of the best true crime books I have read, unfolding right now - Highly Recommended

This is a concise book, just over 200 pages, and one of the best true crime/investigative books I have come across. Brown spent years and combed through thousands of pages of documents and interviews to research this, and its very well done - one of the things I hate the most about true crime books is how they tend to sprawl through 500-600 pages when they could have gotten there much faster. There is nothing wasted in this book.

Beyond the meticulous research and well written text, here are some other things that stand out:

* Brown actually creates and stands behind his theories. Does not put a lot of options in front of the reader for them to decide - he makes a stand on what he thinks is the truth, and its convincing.
* Interviews the likely murderers multiple times.
* Calls out a current House Representative and Senate Candidate for connections to the prostitution and drug ring in Jennings.

One of the rare books that is unfolding as you read it. The murders are still being investigated, the corrupt officials in Jennings are still in place, and Boustany is running for senate. Excellent read, highly recommended - because of its immediacy, I would recommend reading as soon as possible.

I could give this book a 10 out of 10! Loved it.. makes you think twice about trusting people in Jennings.. I'm too scared to walk down the road anymore, but shines light on these poor innocent women who deserve justice! Great work Ethan!

This book by the great Dr. Sumrall, following in John Macmillan's wonderful teaching footsteps, is the best book I have read on the subject of the Authority of the Believer in Christ Jesus. Concise, precise, practical and tactical spiritual insight from a man of God who knew, and who dealt with difficult issues concerning the overcoming power needed for the Christian and the power daily available to all who will come to Christ by faith, stand on His Word and take the position offered to us in Him. Seated in Christ as taught in the book of Ephesians, and knowledge of that position, is overcoming power. I highly recommend this book to all who love to maintain daily victory and joy in Christ, and to all who seek it.

Soooo sexy and romantic!

I don't know if I would classify this book as straight erotica as the heart of it is in the character of Bruce. Yes, it opens with a hot sex scene and has many others after that, but I think it's more of a good story with a lot of sex, which makes it very sexy. Yet, it's also romantic, too, and we see how much Bruce misses and loves his wife who left him. There's a bit of a plot twist at the end that really gives the whole thing a jump and made me happy I'd taken the time to read it. If you like sexy and romantic--but not corny!!!--books, this one might be one for you. It's no Harlequin (thank God).

Enticing, insatiable!

Kim Corum has penned another winner. Now She's Gone, like Breaking the Girl, mixes eroticism with subtle romance. The result is an insatiable and riveting novel.
Bruce wakes one morning and finds that his wife is gone. Saddened, he reads some journals she's left behind in which she describes various erotic exploits. However, the journals reveal much more than just the sexual adventures she ventured into with her past lovers...
As said earlier, this is Corum's best work since Breaking the Girl. I couldn't put this book down. The descriptions are exquisite and provocative, the language fiendish and uninhibited. I look forward to reading more of Corum's work. Her work is truly compelling.

This is the second Kim Corum book I've read and I have to say they keep getting better. The weay she can intertwine two different stories together is amazing and the sex scenes aren't to bad, either. This was one of the best I've read all year.
